If you never shipped a car before, you may not know what questions to ask while choosing the car shipping service that is right for you. We will guide you through the vehicle transport process from start to finish. Some of the common questions are:
1. Why should I ship my car?
The needs of shipping a vehicle vary from customer to customer. That is why it is important to identify your needs and priorities.
The most popular reason for car shipping is online purchases. The advantage of shipping allows a vehicle to be transported without adding to the mileage, wear, and tear, and it is cheaper than driving it.
2. What types of vehicle can I ship with BSK-Trucking auto shipping company?
We can move small sedans, large SUV’s, trucks, vans and minivans. Just let us know what you need to move. Your vehicle must be operable. We are not equipped to haul non-operational vehicles

Your vehicle must be operable.
You must advise us of any modification made to your vehicle such as lift kit, oversize tires, lowered car, etc
3. What if the state I want to ship to, is not on your list?
Do not worry if your state is not on the list, just give us a call or fill out the form and we will take care of you one way or another. We do not want you to leave without us trying to help.We can recommend reputable and experienced auto transport Carriers or brokers. We do not sell you the job or your information. We will send you an e-mail with the phone number of other reliable and dependable companies who can help you if we are unable to.
4. How far in ahead of time should I schedule the transportation of my vehicle?
We usually ask for 1-2 weeks advanced notice. However, there are times when we can accommodate your request with less notice
With all auto shipping companies unforeseen circumstances can happen with road conditions, weather mechanical problems and coordination with other customers' schedules. We can guarantee a window of 2-3 days for pick up or delivery. Auto transport time is usually 7-10 days from the day we pick the car up, depending on the distance to the destination.
5. How can I get a good rate? I am on a fixed budget.
How are the rates determined? Depending on the type of the vehicle you are shipping and the distance between the two locations. If your vehicle is a compact car shipped from one place to the next, you will see a lower price than if you would ship a full-size truck or a large SUV. Our quote is the final, no deposit, all-inclusive price that you will be charged for our service.

6. How do I prepare my vehicle for transport?
The vehicle must have no visible fluid leaks. The battery must be secured.
The vehicle must be clean for inspection
All exterior spare tires, covers, grill covers, car covers, luggage racks, bike racks or ski racks must be removed
Make sure there are no personal items inside your vehicle and leave approximately 1/4 tank of gas and give the key to the driver. That is it!
7. Can I pack anything in my car?
NO! The Department of Transportation does not allow car carriers to ship anything else but automobiles. If for some reason something gets accidentally shipped in the vehicle, it is not covered by the insurance nor is any damage that can be caused to the interior of the car by that article. Items not included on the driver's bill of lading can be confiscated, the carrier fined, placed under an FMCSA compliance review or have their authority suspended by the DOT. ALL trucks are subject to these inspections. Also overloading your trunk with heavy items can result in damage to your car’s undercarriage. The insurance will not cover this damage, and the driver will not be responsible for any personal or household items left in the car.
8. Can I put a car cover on my vehicle?
NO! Sounds like a great idea, but, it is actually against the law. It is also dangerous, because of the strong possibility that it will fly off in transit ending up on some other driver's windshield. It can also damage your vehicle while banging against your vehicle's paint for hundreds of miles.
9. Do I have a discounts if I need to relocate two or more vehicles?
Yes. You can get a discount if you need to relocate two or more vehicles.Just give us a call and we will try to earn your business.
10. How can I make payment?
There are two options for payment.
You can pay the driver upon delivery with cash, cashier check or postal money order. Please make checks payable to BSK-Trucking
Or you can pay with credit/debit card the day after your vehicle was picked up.
We do not accept personal checks!
11. Do I have to be present at origin/ destination for pick up/ delivery?
YES! If you are not available at the time of pick up/delivery, you will need to have a friend, neighbor, co-worker, etc. for inspection, release/receive the car. You or your designated representative must sign the Bill of Lading at both origin and destination.
We do not have a terminal in every city, and we do not think you want to pay extra storage fees. If you decide you want your car to be delivered to a storage facility, you have to make arrangements for the payment before delivery.
12. How do I track the shipment of my vehicle?
ALL of the professional shippers like DHS, UPS, FedEx, etc., provide you a tracking number for your package. Why shouldn’t we? You ship your biggest package. Can a broker provide you with a tracking number? Hint: No! They have no idea where the truck is when you call them! He needs to call the carrier to find out where he is. If you choose to work with BSK-Trucking, you can track the position of your vehicle all the time on our tracking page. You can find the link here.
13. Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes. The contract will be sent to you by e-mail after you receive our quote so you can read it at your own pace. When you decide you want our services, just send back the signed contract and let us move that car! You can access the Transport Order Form and our Terms and Conditions after you receive your quote from us.
14. What do I do if I notice damage when my car is delivered?
Your car is fully insured when it is on our truck. BSK-Trucking maintains $1.000.000 liability and $250.000 cargo insurance.
If damage occurs, it is important to follow the guidelines before a claim can be processed. Occurrences not covered are listed on your Terms and Condition Transport that you receive from us before you sign a contract
A vehicle inspection is done and a copy of the Bill of Lading is given to the party releasing the car when the car is picked up. The person turning the car over and the truck driver both sign the Bill of Lading.
This same report is presented upon delivery of the vehicle at its destination. NOW is the time to compare the car to the report carefully. If you feel that some damage has occurred, you must mark it on the Bill of Lading before you sign it and before the driver leaves. If it is not listed, then we assume no damage has occurred.
All damage claims must be filed within five days of delivery of the vehicle. Any claims made after this time will not be honored.
To file a claim the damage must be noted on the Bill of Lading, and you need to take pictures as soon as possible and send them to our office. We will then mail you a claim form and start the claim process. You will also need to obtain at least two estimates of the damage and submit them to us at 469-606-4600 We will contact our insurance company, and they will send the proper person to evaluate the damage done to your car.
